Kyle M. Christian

Biography

Kyle M. Christian has dedicated his legal career exclusively to family law, bringing a rare combination of courtroom experience, mediation skill, and collaborative law training to every client he serves. A graduate of South Texas College of Law, Kyle began his legal career in Houston, Texas, where he honed his skills at a large, prominent family law firm known for handling complex divorce cases, including matters involving international law.

In 2005, Kyle relocated to the Austin area to be closer to his daughter, and he has proudly served families in Williamson and Travis County ever since. He practices alongside his wife and law partner, Heidi Heinrich, and together they have built a firm rooted in the belief that families deserve thoughtful, skilled, and compassionate legal counsel during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Over the course of his career, Kyle has developed a significant mediation practice spanning more than 15 years. That experience — working both as an advocate in the courtroom and as a neutral at the mediation table — has shaped his approach in a meaningful way. He understands firsthand what families face at every stage of a legal dispute, and he brings that perspective to bear whether he is negotiating a settlement, mediating between parties, or litigating on behalf of a client. Kyle is solution-focused and compassionate by nature, but he is also a skilled and prepared litigator who is not afraid to fight for his clients when the situation calls for it.

Kyle is also trained in collaborative law and is an active member of both Collaborative Divorce Texas and Collaborative Divorce Austin, organizations dedicated to resolving family law matters with dignity, respect, and a minimum of conflict. This training reflects his core belief that when families can reach a resolution outside of the courtroom, everyone — especially children — benefits.

Beyond the Courtroom

When he is not practicing law, Kyle treasures time with his family, including his children and grandchildren. You can often find him out on the water, enjoying the beauty of Lake Travis.
